I started leading tours overseas in 1992 when I accompanied Lily Tomlin as her personal guide to the Berlin International Film Festival. This was shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and Berlin was the hottest destination in Europe. Lily was determined to see more than just the festival, so it was my job to help her experience the best of that fabled city, and that's exactly what we did. Thanks to Lily it was on this trip that I discovered my knack for finding out what's fascinating and fun wherever we go – and making sure we get in on it – and I've been doing this ever since!
You see, my love of travel and my desire to share it is about more than simply seeing a destination; it's about getting to know up close and personally what's special, what's going on in that destination, "under the radar," alongside the local people. It's that goal that led me to create Take My *Mother Please.
I personally prepare every tour, go to every country and city, stay at every hotel, eat in every restaurant and attend any event that will be part of the tour. I do this to make sure that every detail of your trip passes my inspection. My job is to create for you a rich, memorable adventure full of the heart and soul of every place we visit.
